Did you send you the eCS 1.2 Media Refresh beta or the updated eCS 1.2 CD
with Athlon support?  If it is the beta, you might just be running up
against an intermin issue in the beta.

This indicates that one or more of the usb base device drivers that
usbresmg requires did not load.  I recommend you rem out the usbresmg
driver for now.  It will be easier to resolve the usb problems once the
Desktop is up and running.

This is expected, unless you update the install diskettes with drivers
that will work with hardware that is a decade newer than the base OS.

Which drive are you installing eCS too?  How big is your install volume? 
1GB is more than enough for the OS and the essential applications.
