-> Nope. No skatin' ice yet. Went up to Canada to play a few weeks
No kiddin? I'd have thought you had good ice by now. (It got up to 80
here yesterday.)
-> easy to use. I'm in regular touch with Lewis Cosper.
Hey that's good! Give him my best. I hated to see him close Fido down.
I have no Internet capability as yet. Costs Buck$ to do that here.
-> EH> Batteries still healthy?
-> Showing their age somewhat, but useable.
I've been concerned about battery life ever since I had so much trouble
with them on my microwave string. Twenty sites with batteries going to
hell at the same time is a HUGE pain. We tried everything, golf cart
batts did much better than the original exide glass batteries, but I
always wanted to try some REAL RE batteries. After I left they managed
to buy some "Changed for time" telephone batteries and found them still
very effective. (If hellish expensive even as scrap!)
Have you considered attempting to buy some telephone batteries? The
method my successor used was to call local telcos and just ASK if they
were scheduled to replace theirs. One day someone said YES and the
price was negotiated. Then FREIGHT reared its ugly head.
-> Good to hear from you. How's tricks?
Same to ya. Been keepin busy..........
