Hi Bill,

RH> You don't want to fill up the fridge or freezer with left overs
RH> either. It would save you from having to cook as often, but storage
RH> space has to be considered too. (G)

BS> I have a standup type freezer that I keep full, sorta. This way when
BS> I hit a spot where I can't/don't want to cook I can graze the freezer.

We have a chest freezer, filled with all sorts of odds and ends. As of
now, there's not a lot of pre done meals in there but a lot of things
that would be components of meals. Some of it could be used as is, some
added to other things to make up a meal.

BS> Odd thing, on Sunday I cooked up a batch of beef stew, froze 4 pints.
BS> On Monday I cooked up to pork chile verde, froze 4 pints. Tuesday I
BS> cooked up some Spags/gravy, froze 4 pints. Tomorrow I'm going to cook
BS> up the aforementioned soup. This time, oddly enough, I will double
BS> it. Which should get me a quantity to freeze. Earlier I'd made some
BS> GP burrito type stuff, which never made it to the freezer. I spend
BS> time down at the lake and don't want to be bothered by cooking. I try
BS> to vegetate, if that's possible.

Understandable, and cooking for one is not an easy job. It's so much
easier to cook a big batch of something & sub divide it into individual
meals. Works well for just Steve and me too.

Catch you later,
