Manual says designed for ECC CLK24 memory. This memory seems to work fine. I agree
with the video card. Some progs don't load, text in Properties windows do
not display
fully, etc. Had a bunch of new S3 cards, my next step was to look for a Matrox as
opinions seem favorable for all models except one.

Any particular recs on Matrox models? Looking 8-32 meg.

Jimmy, your comments seem plausible though have yet to find all your video dilemmas.

Ian, It could also be the video card/driver combination, are you using
Scitech's SDD/SNAP drivers ? SE or full version ?

S3 Trio64V+ pci. Tried 7.03SE, installs fine, but cannot access the System video
resolution screen. Trap 000e soon after. Using Kensington serial mouse
driver which
Scitech stated does not work with their driver. Steve Wendt I believe said that only
applied to some special hardware but this box is plain jane.

Tried switching over to a ps/2 mouse in the Warp 3 maintenance partition
but never got
it switched over correctly using Selective Install from desktop or boot
method. Are there
switch parameters for mouse.sys using ps2 mice? The serial had: SERIAL=COM1 which
was removed but system still thought serial mouse still there.

The video card will be replaced. Mouse driver would be nice to know how to switch
between serial and ps2 mice.

        Cal
