That is not reason enough. Decompressing an archive (within reasonable limits) is not a problem.

I will work with such a node if there is one. I will deliver mail and files to a node in a way they can work with even if that causes me extra steps to do.
To date I have not heard from any nodes that they could not decompress any mail or files sent to them.

I do not know what works with Dragonbox Pyra. If someone is using exotic hardware or software then I may not be able to communicate with them if they cannot work with plain packets.
This is far from the issue I have seen and reported.
