The Charger was the Roadrunner equivalent, built on the Dodge Polara/Plymouth | Satellite. The Superbee (Coronet) was the equivalent of the Plymouth GTX | (Belvidere). | | It does get confusing, because in 1971 or 1972, the Superbee "became" a Charger. | | And they were all based upon the Chrysler "B" body style. BZZZZTTTT! Wrong. The Roadrunner was a stripper. Plain vinyl seats, heck the base version had a bench seat even with the floor shifter. Rubber mats. The Charger was all posh and trimmed out, an upmarket Coronet coupe with some sheet metal changes to differentiate it from the Coronet line. The Roadrunner and Superbee were direct equivalents. The Superbee was a stripped Coronet coupe with performance goodies. Dodge Polara???????? The Polara was a full-size, not a B-body. ps: I hate Mopar --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
