| subject: | Re: [OS2HW] Re: Help - Intermittent Network |
Hello OK I'm having fun gettng stuff orhganized and updated on my new install of OS/2 but have a few oddities. The most frustrating one I don't recal ever having before but my internet connection, which is through a wired NIC to router to cable modem for some reason only lasts for a little while after boot. I can't yet figure just exactly how long it lasts because I am unaware of when it stops exactly but it is only a few minutes, certainly short of 20 minutes. However it may be brought on by idleness, I don't know yet. So first, how can I discover or prefreably see and log network activity to determine these things? Or, is there some parameter I can just turn off to prevent this from occurring? Considerng I have this setup as a static IP it doesn't have any sort of lease really so what gives? Lastly, is there a specific order preferred in updating the system? Like is it possible to jump to latest fixpack or must I go in sequence? Thanks in advance for any input Jimmy ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
