Thanks Alan. Checked the docs and couldn't find anything that looked
very useful. The only parameter that seemed to have any bearing was
/BAY, but that didn't help when it couldn't see the controller.
However, turns out to be pilot error - the docking station has a fair
bit of overhang and its not very easy to seat the caddy properly. I
tried a couple of other devices (including a floppy) and wasn't getting
much further. With a bit of fiddling, reseated the hard drive caddy and
I now get this:
R1.6.10 /v

The drive in the caddy at the moment isn't LVM'd, so I can't access any
of the data, but that's a minor problem for the moment - once I know
which it is, I'm intending to wipe one of the 12 gb drives anyway.
Great - means I should be able to use the docking station and caddy to
move the existing data on the T23's original 20 gb drive to a 60 gb
without having to resort to Dfsee images over the network. And the 60
should speed things up a bit - its a 7200 rpm, 8 mb cache Hitatchi -
certainly made a lot of difference to the performance of the T20 I
originally bought it for.
