My hardwired response is to protest, saying something like "no, no, I'm
free".
Fortunately I have evolved to a point where I have totally overcome the
animal level hardwired behaviour and now control my entire being from my
consciousness, a process which is hardwired by the subconscious.  Therefore
I don't protest my freedom, having totally confused myself and, probably,
everyone else :(
