I assume you do not need to expand C: because XP it self is growing, rather the stuff XP needs to access is growing. It is easier to maintain a boot partition if it only contains the OS and possibly utilities that help it work. Apps should be on a different partition and data off in it's own world. FAT32 is not stopped by 1024. The simplest thing to do is change H: to FAT32 and let every one use it. I have a couple 25G FAT32 partitions that are used by OS/2, Win and DOS. If you're not comfortable with that, split H: and the leave the pieces where they are. While we are on the subject, I have a laptop that is preinstalled with XP. I need to split that and add OS/2 plus app and data partitions. Can XP be told where to put it's swap file like 9X so I can get it off the boot partition? Ray ------------------------ Yahoo!
