G'day Paul,
Replying to a message of Paul Edwards to Bob Lawrence on 21/05/97:
PE> With great difficulty. That's why people who are used to the ways of
PE> fidonet, get their act together and insert an X-Comment-To field in
PE> their messages. I would be surprised if watergate didn't have an
PE> option to do that, I bet Alan + Jeff simply haven't enabled that
PE> option. I will eventually get tin to do that.
I can get Watrgate to copy X-Comment-To: to a kludge in fido messages. I
don't see any way to have it add that to a newly created message though. Or
did you mean to place it like
X-Comment-To: Paul Edwards
in the message?
I have noticed in news tossed from Dialix by Watergate that if there is a
{at}To: kludge line in the message, it'll put that name into the To: line in
the fido message without anything after the {at} in the /address/. Let me
explain that a little better.
If the kludge reads
{at}To: r-berkley{at}dickwit.com.au
then the To: line in my message reader will say To: R-berkley.
If the name reads Paul_Edwards{at}rosebay.matra.com.ao, it'll read To: Paul
Edwards in the fido message as I left the name seperator as an underscore
in the Wtrgate setup.
Does that make sense?
Regards...Jeff (jeff{at}matra.com.au)
