I guess you probably mean RDP, but it generally helps to be specific
about what you installed, what application you used, etc.

That’s the default behavior. It’s possible to use x11vnc to access the
main display but it’d probably need some additional setup.

That’s the strategy I use (not with a Pi but the software is all the
same).
