DR> With so many people getting Workman's Comp for improper lifting, this
DR> might be a good time to teach your children how to lift something
DR> properly. This will keep your back healthy, so I suppose you could
DR> call it health education. (Lift with your knees, by squatting down,
DR> grasping the object with the arms, and then use your legs and knees to
DR> raise your body into the standing possession. Put the item down in the
DR> reverse fashion. Bending over is a NO NO. I learned this the hard way,
DR> and ended up with a back injury that still plagues me occasionally.)
DR> As far as packing, that is almost math and language - sorting, right?
DR> Cleaning of course is a necessary part of life, and also can come into
DR> "health education".
DR> It's a stretch, but how-to-have-a-successful-move is a necessary part
DR> of life-education. Few people live in the same place their whole life.
Well we are pretty much moved in. You know kids, they helped some, but
not much. As far as the back goes, I know all about that. When I was
a kids my mother had serious back problems and I inherited them. So
that is one thing I try to do, but you can move wrong anyway and still
have problems. Talk at ya later.
