I have gigabyte motherboards.  The sound connection (from the CDROM) uses
the same 4pin connectivity socket at both ends.  

I have never had a motherboard that had the same connector as the CDROM.

My motherboard did not come with a cable suitable for this.  Nor did my
CDROM.

Any idea where I might find such a cable?
