That is one thing that I will not do. I refuse to upgrade "this"
software, so I could "hope" that the upgrade will enhanced the
functions of it. I will not get into the "Microsoft" upgrade
mode. :-)
FS> Worst purchase I have ever made.
LC> I wouldn't go that far, but it's certainly not a programme I
LC> would recommend, or *ever* use again. When we were audited,
LC> the tax assessor nearly cried when she saw what we were using.
LC> "OH, no! MYOB!"
If and when the time comes when I am audited, I hope to be using
another program. At of all the software that I have ever purchased
(shareware or commercial), this is the worst. I am not satisfied
with it. I have to work to hard to get simple answers from it.
One of the major problems is that it does not know what check number
has been used until "after" you have made the check out. The
program should have defaulted to scanning the check numbers, but it
was not. When I went to balance the account, I found my mistake,
but the documentation does not match up with what a person is doing.
It sounds confusing and it is. Now I have a minus in the checking
account that I have yet to figure out how to turn it around. MYOB
is telling me one thing and the screen is showing me another. I
never had this much trouble navigating through a program.
LC> She sees many different accounting programmes in her work and
LC> had no good things to say about MYOB at all.
The program that was suggested to me had system minimum requirements
that equaled my system. Not wanting to "wait" for the program to do
it's thing or upgrade my system (funny seeing that is my home
business), I picked MYOB. I should have listened. I figure by the
end of the year, I will switch applications and systems.
TTYL,
Fred
