I've got a WWII Catholic Shield and Prayer Book, dated 12-25-42 that was 
carried in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Those of you that don't know what 
that is, it's a Bible with a Steel cover on the front that went in the left 
breast pocket to protect the heart from sniper bullets.
