I believe there is a difference in English/U.S. terminology
here. Like gasoline/petrol... British have a liquid fuel much
the same as our kerosene which is called paraffin oil... not
the solid wax paraffin as we know it.
I had much the same problems when I purchased my first
English auto, a Singer 9 roadster... :)
