At this time I am ceasing all development efforts on Nexus. Will I personally
pick it up at some point in the future? I don't know.

The open source project will stay at SourceForge and I will leave all
historical archives up here for posterity.

The main reasons for this decision are lack of time on my part, lack of
interest on the part of other developers, and just generally how far behind
technologically Nexus is compared to other BBS software offerings. The task of
making Nexus current would have been a HUGE undertaking. Porting to other
platforms has proven to be difficult enough.

What will I do now? I will continue to be the International Coordinator for
Sysop's Technet. I will also maintain my role as Region 11 Coordinator for
Fidonet.

I may get involved with other BBS related development projects. I may start
some new ones of my own. However, at this point, I don't see myself coming
back to the Nexus project as it currently stands.

Should someone else start working on the code and desire my input, I'd be
happy to provide that. However, I just do not have the time and energy
necessary to devote to this project any longer when I can't see that there
will be many benefits to continuing it.
