Have regular pc100 memory, 1 of 64 meg and 1 of 32 meg sticks on p3-600.  This is a
Gateway box that was designed for ECC memory.  In bios the following are disabled:

dmi event logging
ecc event logging

There are several quirks, main one being screen going black after exiting program and
staying that way, though can be warm rebooted which could be a video driver
issue on a
S3 Trio64V+ pci card.

Does a mboard designed for ecc memory need to have it?
