Hi Cal > Does a mboard designed for ecc memory need to have it? I'm surprised your computer/server works with normal SDRAM ! I guess Gateway used a dual mode memory controller. RAM is cheap so I would get ECC RAM, unless your not actually using your computer as a server. It could also be the video card/driver combination, are you using Scitech's SDD/SNAP drivers ? SE or full version ? Other questions are, what graphics card are you using, and as you mention a PIII-600 can we assume its AGP ? I've had similar video problems with the odd graphics card, replaced them with S3, Nvid, or ATI cards and no problems.
