subject: US Code Title 31, False Claims

RT> > Is anyone aware of any instance of action taken by the Federal
RT> > Government to recover grant or other funds from psychologists or
RT> > social workers for using fraudulent scientific claims ...
RT>That's the question, isn't it, Roger? I'd be interested to
RT>see if there is an instance in which the federal government
RT>so much as cut back on a municipal agency budget, for failure
RT>to either follow guidelines, else failure to allocate (spend)
RT>all of their funds.
RT>I have obtained a number of USDHHS Administration on Youth
RT>and Families interim memos, policy interpretation question
RT>documents, grant administration guidelines, policy
RT>announcements, etc. I'll try to find something
RT>"concentrated" enough to post here, as much of the
RT>information is scattered throughout the several hundred
RT>documents, the most recent of which are in WP5 format.
Believe it or not Title 31 has been used to go after fraudulant science used
to obtain federal funds. One of them was doing psychological research. That
is what gave me the idea. I am ging to file a complaint with the FBI here.
I hope to find other examples so they will not feel like they are breaking
new ground.
