Just a note to let everyone on here know that Reg and his friend from
Washington, Bill, along with Grem, Pax and Phoenix made it safely to the
great (?) state of Iowa!!!
They arrived at 1pm June 28th and stayed on our farm until late the next
afternoon. It was such a pleasure to meet Reg after chatting with him on
here and over the telephone for the past several years. It was also a
pleasure to finally meet a few of his wonderful birds!
Grem (Mitred Conure) is such a lover! Pax was a bit more standoffish but
you could tell he sure loved his daddy! Phoenix is beautiful too. They
sure are a bunch of lucky birds!! Reg's motor home setup is great! We did
take plenty of pictures and some will appear in upcoming issues of
Beakers: On The Wing!
Their timing was also great! While us humans dined Wednesday evening at
our local fine restaurant, Grem, Pax and Phoenix dined on lots of fresh
fruits and veggies that I had just that day picked up. We had an over
abundance that day because the produce truck was involved in an accident
and several boxes were damaged! (Guess where THOSE go?? :)
Anyway, Reg's plans were to arrive in the Seattle area this past Sunday
and hopefully, the employment situation will be better there. He
promises to get back on here just as soon as he connects with a host
system in that area.
