The Insight is the original Honda hybrid (Toyota was first on the market in
the US, I think).  Now they have a Civic version-- absolutely standard
Civic: pretty cool.  Although I have my heart set on something with a
little pep, like Acura's Integra replacement (forget the designation), or a
6-cyl Accord.  Or, I'll take the Acura and the wife gets the Accord.

I have this nagging feeling that we are close the the last generation to be
able to experience the "freedom of the road", what with one thing
and another.  Our grandkids will be whisked along in hands-off pods, or
something.
