I've been out of work for a little over a year now due to a blown-out knee 
and i have enjoyed getting in here to read all of your messages about your
birds. I got my first Goffen Cockatoo this past summer threw a lady friend 
who breeds all kinds of birds --- she had wanted one of my German Sheperd
pups cause of the blood line i'm breeding.  --- any how she got her pup and i
got my buddy ----His name is Oscar and he's 8 years old ---- I haven't had
him for long but i believe we have become close friends cause when ever i 
ive
the room he raise's cane tell i come back to get him !  what i need to know
is that since i have gotten him i have been given two more parrots a mini 
macaw who is just as sweet as Oscar and a Red Lord Amazon who is as mean as a 
snake but has become pals with my 12 year old daughter which i think is great 
for the both of them ---- my problem is this ---- Flash (red-lord) tries to 
dive bomb me every time i get close to eather his cage or my daughter and he 
has drawen blood more then i care to say . the only way i can handle him

with gloves and i hate to use them ---- he gets to shaking real bad as soon

he see's the gloves ---- i have talk to the ex-owner who was told not to let 
to many people handle him and so he didn't and the only time he did was when 
he took him to get his beak trimed as well as wings cliped --- so the bird 
as
not been worked with much at all by the way Flash is about 5 or 6 years old. 
will i ever be able to handel him with out useing the gloves ???? we have had 
him for about 2 months now and so far no ground has been broken between us. 
how can i gain his confidence --- i'm trying every thing i can think of !!!!!
One more thing is there any chance i can put the Mini Macaw  and Oscar 
in the same cage with out worrying about them killing each other. Thanks for
