Hello Harry In a word, "Yes!". Specifically I see the media as a limitation to have some concern over but a drive even capable, where others are not, of burning so accurately and powerfully to even make use of a 2x media but burn it at 6x means it's the best of worlds in hardware. If it can do that with 2x media then buy better media for severely critical backups and be doubly sure you have a solid copy. I certainly can't fault hardware for being powerful and flexible.
