I'm REALLY sorry to hear your group is dropping Parrots--is there any
other bbs in your area that you might try calling? Perhaps a different
board might carry this echo for you. Find a Fido bbs list for your local
area code, and call a couple of the listed boards. If you find one you
like, ask the sysop if he/she will pick up the Parrot Echo for you--most
sysops are glad to oblige users in that respect. I hope you can find
another source for Parrots soon! If I can help, let me know.

If we lose this conference (along with 20 other Fido conferences) it is due 
to $$ and general expenses . 
These conferences are gatewayed from another bbs to ours and the Admins there 
had agreed to up the cost.
Here in Bermuda, telecommunication is not cheap. Our user group BerMUG, has 
severalinternational links and since many of our members have been utilizing 
Internet (which is relatively new to our island) the interest seems to have 
decreased in the Fido conferences temporarily.
However-- Due to the impersonality of it- I think interest in the fido 
conferences may regenerate if given the time. Our group is hoping they will 
reconsider and lower the cost!
