 I live in Michigan.  Also we have a new law here which states Children
 can be schooled at home in an organized manner according to age, grade
 level and special needs and the basic subjects have to be taught.
 Reading, English, Math, Science, Social Studies or/and  Geography
 (depending on the age which one).  They don't dictate the curriculum
 and they don't give you textbooks. I never asked for textbooks so they
 mite help if I asked.  The law is pretty general so no one knows how
 the school district will react.  I guess we are all just waiting to see
 what the Dept. of Education will do with it.
