That's right, if you deactivate in the first six months, or get shut off for
non payment, the dealer gets charged back.
It's pretty obvious that the phones really aren't free since you have to sign
a contract to get the phone.
The day that I can walk into a store and have them give me a phone without
even asking who I am or what I want it for is the day that they will be free.
"At no additional charge" is more accurate, at least in the Boston market
where you sign a one year even if you activate your own equipment.
