     I went to Office Depot last evening to get some
copy paper (for the DeskJet) and some other things.
They had the paper by the case for a $10 discount
w/coupon, plus a mail-in coupon for another $10 rebate.
I got several other things, one of which also had a
mail-in rebate.  Both needed the original cash register
receipt.  Yeah, right, try to get two.  The secret is
to have them run up as separate sales.
     This afternoon I was at my lady friend's house.
She's a retired schoolteacher.  When I told her about
the paper she said, "Oh, I've got two cases sitting in
the garage.  We ended up taking three reams out of the
open box for her and I brought the rest home.  The open
box has been there since before Hurricane Andrew in
'92, so you know it would never make it in a Xerox
machine.  Two and a half cases should last me a little
while, but I do use a _lot_ of paper!
