Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>> some heat, too... The first year that RJ was back from AZ, he
NB> NB>> stayed at the camp well into November, thinking to get a job up
NB> NB>> there... it didn't work out as well as he'd hoped, so he ended
NB> NB>> up just coming home here... But that fall, the electric bill
NB> NB>> was indeed much higher than usual....

RH> Was that before he had his own place?

NB> Well before... He didn't even start building it for a year or two,
NB> IIRC.... and he was working on it for two or three years... still not
NB> totally finished, but he's been able to use it now for a while... :)

It looked quite nice, what I saw of it 2 years ago.

 NB> RH>> That's for sure--unless you like to chew ice. (G)
NB> NB>> No ice in the "shake".... one just chills it
in the fridge...
 NB> ;)

RH> Unless it gets put near the vent in the back of the fridge. We have to
RH> watch what we put in that area as things do freeze up. I don't want
RH> frozen yogurt for breakfast and microwave thawing just doesn't work
RH> out so I always either put the yogurt on a different shelf or off to a
RH> side. Maybe it's just our fridge that does it tho.

NB> I've had some fridges that did that... but the ones we have now don't
NB> seem to have that problem... :) The fridge we had at camp before the
NB> one we have now used to freeze veggies and all... some things we just
NB> didn't refrigerate for that reason that we usually would have done at
NB> home... had to place things like mayo very carefully... ;)

We've had to be careful with that on some of our fridges. Nice thing
about the military housing was if the fridge/stove/other major appliance
went bad, it was either repaired or replaced. Sometimes we got a brand
new replacement, other times, one that had been taken from a housing
unit no longer in use for some reason or other. We didn't have to worry
about repair/replace costs. Now we do have to keep that in mind.

NB> NB>> ... "At last I'm organized." he sighed and died

RH> Just when I think I've got things organised, something comes along to
 RH> disorganise them.

NB> Yup.... ;) Usually just before one finally finishes getting them
 NB> organized... ;)

Something like that, seems to always happen.
