subject: Why the Romulans Left

RM> No one said they do. But it is highly discourteous, at the very least,
RM> to know that there is a whole fandom out there with certain
RM> long-established ideas, and *every* time some aspect of that is
RM> addressed in canon Trek, to go entirely contrary to that
RM> long-established view. It's one thing to be TPTB and act accordingly.
RM> It's quite another to in *every* instance flout and disregard the very
RM> loyal fan base which is the only thing that brought Trek to the place it
 RM> is today.
I think this viewpoint is and has been greatly exaggerated from reality.
I find it seriously unlikely that there is a deliberate campaign by the
various Trek production people to systematically contradict "long held"
fandom views, ideas and concepts.
Besides as fans our only legitimate part of the whole process is to consume
the product that they produce if we like it, and not to if we don't.
