Does anyone know where I can get (or get designs for and I will build
it) some smoke/fire alarms that will send a signal to the computer, a
doorbell that sends a signal the to computer, and a kitchen timer that
will send a signal to a computer, and also "sensors" I can put on
windows and doors that will send a signal to the computer??  I am in an
engineering class, and I want it to be my jr project for Spring 1998. I
plan to use a dedicated computer, whichever language needed, and several
touch screen monitors around the house to operate the program.  thank
