subject: POWERBASIC FOR OS/2

Quoting David Roper to Lawrence Gordon:
DR> Me, too. I was excited about the OS/2 version back before WARP,
DR> but when MickeySoft came out with their WIN95, the hospital where I
DR> work went screaming over to WIndows apps and now, Visual Basic
DR> seems to be the way to go. I still do as much in PB32 as I can. I
DR> haven't gone to VB yet. I'm fighting. But I'm losing the war. I
DR> think Os/2 is dead except for banks and such where true MTasking is
DR> king. Just wanted to say all this out loud. Sorry if I offended
DR> anyone. Peace.
The other problem is that PB is always a step or two behind MS. Just
when everyone could get excited about the new PB/DLL compiler, MS releases
VB 4.0 with all the 32bit stuff, which the PB/DLL compiler can't process.
Maybe there's a PB/OS2 in the future, but my hopes are growing dim, even
though I don't think OS/2 is dead.
PB for Caldera Linux anyone?
