VN :> Of course you are taking glucosamine sulfate, et al?
 MA> Huh?? Duh! Advil......
Reputed to rebuild cartilege; Mrs. Braswell has been taking it for years
and the fact that she can even get outta bed by herself in the morning is
testimony enough for me! She first heard of it as used for HORSES for joint
problems...Lori's vet prescribed it for her Oldenberg colt for hock problems
and either it or SOMETHING (who knows, with horses) is WORKING.
It's glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate. It's a little pricey
- I just paid $15 for a bottle of fifty 500 mg. capsules. I MAY get some of
the BULK stuff for horses and buy clear gelatin capsules and make my own.
A few years ago, I had an x-ray when they thought Dub had hurt me worse
than he had - okay, I'll admit it, I was screwing around. I was showing off
barrel-racing him in my English saddle; I hadn't barrel-raced since Elvis was
alive and Jimmy Carter was in office. Anyway, we had a fight, he won, and he
threw me as hard as he could into a barrel that had been cut in half. The
years ago, and I have had NO symptoms...not sure why...could be that the
pills have at least a PSYCHOLOGICAL, PLACEBO EFFECT! Or maybe exercising
every day at work (I am sure glad sometimes that I don't have an office job)
and at the stables helps.
The ones I take are sold in health food stores under the brand name
BIOCHEM (tm) GLUCOSAMINE COMPLEX.
