Dave Navarro, has stated in this conference, PowerBASIC for OS/2 was
scheduled for release at the end of 1995 and it didn't happen. It would have
been a nice
gesture coming back and saying why it was'nt released. A little customer
relations goes along way.
I agree Joe, I want a bug-free compiler also and I've been willing to wait.
The point is, PowerBASIC for OS/2 is on the back burner, It's low priority if
it has any at all. AND, I don't much care for the way PowerBASIC Inc. is
doing business at this point in time. You know the old saying, screw me once,
shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me.
For those wanting a 32 bit compiler for OS/2 the product below might be your
ticket...

SP/2 Field Test Version 1 (February 1996)
The release of SP/2 1.5 is planned for february 1996. If you have any
suggestions or you find bugs/errors in both the compiler and the
IDE please let us know quickly. Registered users of the 1.0 version
will get the 1.5 for free as soon as it is available. Version 1.5 will
include a complete help similar to version 1.0 help and the sample
programs from the 1.0 version. If you do not have a legal copy of the

The next regular version will be Version 2.0 (Codename "Sibyl"). Its
release is planned for June/Jule/August 1996. This next version
will include Delphi support and an IDE similar to Delphi. Further Sibyl
will support cross platforming for OS/2, Win95 and WinNT. Beta test
starts in february/march. If you have interest in taking part in
the Beta test for Sibyl please let us know and you will get
information when and where it is available.
