JG> One of the reasons I registered it was the fact that the manual

JG> OS/2 software and still went with a DOS based system. However,
JG> they will be releasing an OS/2 version on the next beta

I'll fire it up eventually, but I find I learn more about a system
if I muddle around for a few weeks in the system itself. The usual
problem is that the guys who write the manuals are experts, and they
write it for other experts (who don't need a manual anyway). It takes
rare genius to write a manual so a dickhead like me can follow it.

I've noticed that many of these internet programs are for OS/2. It
strikes me as rather weird. I'd have thought Windows would dominate,
even for sysops running a BBS.

JG> Do you want me to ask for filenames for waffle in one of the
JG> uucp newsgroups I get from Dialix? This echo BTW is there so
JG> that people can ask questions about setting up an running uucp

Filenames won't help if there's nothing there on the spcug. rofl!
Most software seems to be set up for slip-ppp accounts. UUCP is a bit
of an orphan... so Paul makes it his first choice! I think there's a
clue to Paul's mentality in there somewhere.

Bob
