Actually, I would have said that one slice was a decent snack. With my
current appetite, I think that three slices would be a filling meal --
but not true way back then.

We have both of those not too far from us, I'd rank them in that order
and well below other choices. I sort of think that the local Waterloo
Pizza is the best. It operates in a section of an Exxon Gasoline (or is
it petrol station for you?). In addition to pizza, they do a pretty
good business on a wide variety of subs.

Then there is a chain called Papa John's which is just a little bit
closer to us. They do a pretty good pizza. They usually win out in our
purchase decision because of their frequent specials. Example, if the
Orioles win by five runs, all pizza is half price. Similar with respect
to the Ravens during football season. We often get their pizza and eat
half of a large and freeze the rest for some other night when we just
want to grab something without cooking. Heat it up in our toaster oven
and dig in.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

Title: Quebec Pea Soup With Red Lentils
 Categories: Soup, Beans
      Yield: 12 Servings

      1 Ham bone -- meaty
      3 c Split peas--yellow and
           -green
    3/4 c Red lentils
    3/4 c Barley
      2 c Winter squash -- grated
      1 lg Onion -- chopped
      2 Stalks celery -- diced
    1/2 ts Cumin
    1/4 ts Marjoram -- ground
      1 ts Salt
           -pepper

Place bone in 4 quarts of water, bring to a boil and cook until meat
  is tender.

(My own preference is to save the water in which a traditional
  Schaeffer "picnic
ham, green beans and potatoes" boiled dinner has been cooked, and use
this liquid, and, of course, the ham bone, as the base for soup.)
  Strip meat from
bone and return meat to pot. Add peas, lentils, barley, vegetables
and seasonings. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer about 2 1/2
  hours. Adjust
  seasonings.
