I still think it's funny that a CANADIAN team won the World Series twice
in a row! (Toronto Blue Jays, in the NL)

Many don't realize that the Montreal Expos(AL) were also a Canadian
baseball team that might've ever got into the World Series (just picture
it if there'd been TWO Canadian teams in the World Series -- there'd be
Americans all over the USA clicking off their TVs with a mumbled,
"hmmph! never much liked baseball anyway -- its UnAmerican!")

It's only fair -- after all, the Yanks stole our hockey Stanley Cup from
us years ago! (damb New York Islanders started that BS!)
