had to be one of the two. the only other guitarist was rick nielson from
the cheap trick session. at least that i know of. i think it is rick on
the lennon anthology version. there is a video around of a tv shoot with
the double fantasy band playing. at least a lp's worth. if memory serves
there a few bits of oldies on there where johns changes the words
around. dream lover is one. the band keeps trying to play she's a woman.
john keeps getting irritated and finally tells em what to do with it.
don't know if you can tell whose on guitar for im losing you from that
or not. im gonna do with slick. some of the strangers room piano takes
from the lost lennon tapes move me even more than the released one. john
hadn't been in the studio for awhile and douglas gets maybe a bad rap.
in hindsight with the way things turned out i always wished george
martin had produced what was john's last record. i think it is worth
noting that george did paul's next one after john's death.

sorry saki and all. i just cant deal with the spam and stuff at the
other group and the beatles aren't gonna fade for me. listening to some
of the bbc upgrades tonight it is amazing how good of a live band they
were once.

cheers...
