| subject: | fmail.pck examples? |
AA> Hi All, AA> Can anyone show me how to contruct various routing AA> senarios in FMAIL's "FMAIL.PCK" file? AA> There doesn't seem to be any examples or explanations on AA> how to do that in the main document. What type of scenarios do you need to set up? I have been using FMail for years, and could probably help with that... I feed a couple of nodes, and have a FidoNet and SkyNet feed, and it looks similar to this in the pack manager... 1:267/47 via 1:267/47 /H 1:267/102 via 1:267/102 /H 1:* 2:* 3:* 4:* 5:* 6:* via 1:267/200 /H 13:* 30:* via 30:2000/0 /H This takes the individual nodes I serve and packs the mail directly for them, takes any other netmail I may send for zones 1 thru 6 and packs them for my fidonet uplink, and takes mail for zones 13 and 30 (SkyNet) and packs that netmail for my SkyNet uplink. The /H puts that mail on hold, until my timed mail event runs. If you were feeding an entire net, below the individual nodes, but before the z:* entries, you could put entries like: 1:123/* via 1:123/1 /H 1:456/* via 1:456/100 /H etc... Unless you have a very complicated setup, or are feeding a large number of nodes and or nets, this should be enough to get you going. Oh... noting that you mentioned the *.pck file directly, don't manually edit that file... use the pack manager in FMails setup program. Hope this helps.
