        Actually it is real names.  Says nothing about prefered.
        Check out the recent Elist312 for example.  Fido has always
        been real name for a couple decades.  HOWEVER, there have been
        one or two echos that DO allow aliases in them.

        They are no longer on the backbone if I recall.
