When you said one document messed up the next one; by that I take it you mean 
that docs 2-6 took on the settings in doc 1 and didn't like right anymore.
Try making a MASTER DOCUMENT. This will include references to each of the 
individual documents and should keep each of their individual settings as 
they are "printed" to the fax.
You also need to make sure that the page settings for your fax print device 
are as close as possible to the printer device under which the documents were 
created in the first place or they will be reformatted for the new "printer".
