mmm, even the quote marks fit in there pretty good in the last line.
How's *that* for some savy˙"computer skills"?
You are quite right of course. If you could see that even the
"encouragement to discover for oneself" learning in the "experimental
spelling" Dan T. was relating about empowers a workforce to be
self reliant and superbly competant eventually I think you'd
appreciate what educators are trying to do alot more.
If you want an employee that has the courage to figure out which
port the monitor cable goes into when the janitor kicks it out
and has the guts to take action on their own rather than waiting
for the boss you'd appreciate that paying attention to the growth
of the whole individual early on is important.
For the ultimate good of an industry (and a country) employer,
employee and customer needs *all* have to be met and the *system*
has to be understood from start to finish -- through satisfaction
of the customer. (Deming -- Total Quality Management).
For receiving such megar pay and so very little support and thanks;
I'd say teachers are doing a herculean job in our society.
The more support you give 'em the better results you'll get.
What have you done lately to help education in your area?
Best,
-frank:)
