Mike.... Dusty used a false argument as to why he is allowed to shoot
someone. He said he deliberately posted a message without XNA in
order to leave a record of his warning.... even though he knew he was
massively exaggerating any threat to him. He was laying the ground
for his false excuse that he would be shooting in self defense.

Usenet lawyers can argue about this for ever so instead I suggest we
let the local authorities determine if Dusty's a danger and if they
need to take any action.

There is a precedent for this in SE. Aardvark was worried about being
atacked by a gunman and reported it to the police. In this case the
concern is significantly greater. Amongst many other things he has
said, Dusty wrote.... "I have a masters degree in cruelty. You just
don't understand how far I'm willing to go."

There's an anonymous tip button here and maybe that's the thing to
use. If we each made an individual report then the police could form
an overall view of the situation and decide for themselves what to
do. It is best not be alarmist or vindictive.... but at the same time
it is best to report a potential danger.
