I understand that Dave at HardDrive Cafe found that Verizon was changing their dynamic IP more frequently which caused his users to get dumped from his bbs in the middle of games and such. He actually contacted Verizon and worked out a deal to pay for a static IP. This doesn't make sense to me since you can usually configure the utility to upgrade the IP in different time increments.
