Good point.  But even then, without having appointed a majority of Supreme
Court justices, we'd still be hamstrung.

Let's sum up:

Until the (distant and barely forseeable) day when Republicans control the
White House, the Congress, the Supreme Court, and a majority of
governorships, America will remain a bastion of big spending, big
government liberalism with no personal accountability.
