BL> My problem is not *how* to do it, but why? Any fool can work BL> out how to do it. It takes genius to do it simply. BL> I'm just surprised that the Internet is 13 years old and no one BL> has done it already. It tells you something abouy uni-wankers, BL> doesn't it? There are professors, uniwankers and engineers. KR> i think that you would find that rmail does. I don't have a clue how rmail does it, and with respect neither do you, without the source code. I was trying to make a point for John. Mail comes in packets that include transit information, and before it can be read and replied to, it has to be processed into database form. Any real engineer would see this, and send the mail in already-acceptable database form. Then everyone would use the same database and mail could be read directly. Mail has to be tossed, so it might as well be tossed in the right direction. Of course, this is too much to hope for when uniwankers are running the system... but when they add fuckups on fuckups, like the cunbatch line to an-already compressed file, it goes too far for even a poor old fourth-rate engineer like me. Naturally, it makes sense to uniwankers. Regards, Bob ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 @EOT: ---* Origin: Precision Nonsense, Sydney (3:711/934.12) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
