Hiya, folks...
For those of you who follow the world news, you may have heard by now
that in the year 2028 an asteroid one mile in diameter will approach
the earth at a distance of only 26,000 miles. ...And there is a remote
possibility it will even strike the earth.
The last time an asteroid of similar size struck the earth, it killed
all the dinosaurs and many other animal species. If this were to occur
again, it would de-populate the world almost completely.
For 2 days now, this news has been circulating amongst the various media.
...Now, NASA (a government agency) enters the picture... "NO, NO, it isn't
true, don't panic." "We have corrected the figures, and the nearest the
asteroid will come is 600,000 miles."
It will be interesting to see what the doomsayers will have to say about
this coming spectacular event. ...And, is NASA telling us the truth?
...Or are they just trying to soothe the "panic" we all must be feeling?
Regards,
Jack
