Hello All,
Funny I should be reading your posts about people driving and
talking on the phone. Just yesterday I was travelling on the expressway.
I came upon a car that was being driven by a man on his cordless. It was
apparant he was involved in a very intense conversation ( head nodding,
bobbing, shaking no and lips moving fast ), well as we're going along
his car was excellerating as he's nodding yes and the car would slow
down as he's nodding no. The car would drift to the shoulder, then to
the dividing line as well. I didn't want to see what was going to happen
if he argued with the other person, or found out that the stock market
dropped, so I waited my chance. When I saw he was going into a
disagreement stage ( nodding no ), this was my que to pass. I did so
without incident, but I can't figure out why he would have to tell me
( with a single digit hand sign ) that was going to be one more minute
longer.
Odd that people who use the phone while driving don't think they
can cause any road hazards while engauged in lengthy debate. Almost like
the drunk driver saying he can drive with a B A C higher than everyone
else on the road and expecting not to be detected.
Just a day in a life.
