I guess I should have mentioned I'm using WPWin 6.1, and it was the
KX-P2123 that I used earlier with WPDos 6.0b. In WPWin 6.1, I can
rotate the text via the "handles" on the corner when the text box is
selected. The dialogue box with WPD 6.0 did have a box to check though
for rotating the text (try loading a WP Panasonic 2123 driver if you
want to check that out)

One thing that I hadn't considered is that a laser printer is
page-oriented, whereas a dot-matrix/inkjet is more line oriented and
has better support for bit-mapped graphics. If it can be done as you
wish, perhaps someone with that particular printer can jump in here
with some ideas.
